Conclusion of the day/Die Erkenntnis des Tages

It was a humid day and I was wondering how my plants on our balcony were doing. Very happy and surprised I discovered the first green of my carrots and basil. But the conclusion of the day wasn't a good one.
Es war ein schwüler Tag und ich fragte mich, was meine Pflanzen auf dem Balkon machen. Glücklich und überrascht entdeckte ich das erste, zarte Grün meiner Karroten und des Basilikums. Aber die Erkenntnis des Tages war keine gute.
Two weeks ago I bought a little tomato plant. It grew nicely and I was certain harvesting tomatoes in the late summer. Now, I have doubts. Why? Well, look at this:
Vor zwei Wochen kaufte ich ein kleines Tomatenpflänzchen. Es wuchs und entwickelte sich prächtig. ich war mir sicher, im Spätsommer Tomaten ernten zu können. Nun bin ich mir nicht mehr so sicher. Warum? Schaut euch das mal an:

There is hardly any leaf left of my former bright tomato plant! I think I know who is responsible.
My fluffy, cute little "tomato killer" named Liese.
Es ist kaum noch etwas von meiner einst prächtigen Tomatenpflanze übrig! Ich denke, ich weiß, wer dafür verantwortlich ist. Mein fluffiger, niedlicher, kleiner "Tomatentöter" namens Liese.

Has she eaten my plant?

Yeah, I know. These eyes keep saying "not guilty". Could you be mad at such a cutie? I can't. Hopefully my plant will recover.
Ja, ich weiß. Diese Augen plädieren auf unschuldig. Könnten ihr so einer Süßen böse sein? Ich kann es nicht. Hoffentlich wird sich meine Pflanze erholen.
